Columns in DXL

Hi everyone, what i wonder in a case like the following, is there a way in DXL to realize it?

Assuming that I am dealing with column c which is the actual column for a current module. what I want to manipulate for example (c+1) th column, or (c+n) th column, i mean forthcoming columns, while I am still working on the current module where c is the actual column

Thanks in advance to those who pay attention.

Kind Regards

If you are talking about using layoutdxl to manipulate a different column -- you may find the same problems that others have found in this approach.

Not sure what you are asking. Perhaps its 'If there is a selected column then I want to deal with adjacent columns".

Module mCurr = current
Column cCurr = getSelectedCol(g_mCurr),
       cPrev, cNext

if (null cCurr)
{  warningBox("Select a Column")
   halt
}

int  NumCols = 0,
     ColNum  = 0
for col in mCurr do
{  NumCols++       // CountColumns
}
int  ColNum = 0
for col in current Module do
{ if col == cCurr) break // Current column number
   ColNum++
}
if (ColNum > 0)
     cPrev = column(mCurr, ColNum-1)
else cPrev = null

if (ColNum < NumCols-1)
     cNext = column(mCurr, ColNum+1)
else cNext = null
// cPrev and cNext are adjacent columns to the currently selected one

Hi rslerl and Louie sorry for replying that late to your posts. First of all i would like to thank you for your responses. I solved my problem in a different manner rather using attrNames as in my modules attribute names are fix. so it was much more easier for me to handle with my columns. Anyway, I do thank you one more time for your consideration.

Kind regards
